Senmaya Hina Matsuri (held February 11 – March 3)
~ Centered on the Senmaya Sake Storehouse Exchange Facility, redolent of Taisho-era romance, the Senmaya shopping district is decorated with kokin-bina and kyoho-bina dolls, over 30 tiered doll displays, hanging ornaments (tsurushi kazari), and more.
Stroll through streets wrapped in a festive atmosphere and feel spring arriving a little early!

~ Praying for protection from fire, freedom from illness, and the fulfillment of wishes, men in their unlucky “yakudoshi” year run bare-chested through the town, and people douse them with water while making their own wishes!
