Geibi Gorge, located in Higashiyama-cho, Ichinoseki, is one of Japan’s 100 Scenic Spots. It is also designated a national Place of Scenic Beauty, forming a fantastical, deep mountain ravine.
It’s a beautiful gorge where you can enjoy the changing charm of the four seasons.

In 2021, it had been scheduled for September 8 (Wed) and 9 (Thu), but was cancelled due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
With a gentle current and steep rock walls and cliffs on either side, it’s like a natural concert hall, creating a fantastical atmosphere unlike any other.
Many people who enjoy this Izayoi (16th-night moon) concert every year are said to be repeat visitors.
This time, as a coronavirus countermeasure, boat capacity was limited to about 60% of the usual number of passengers, so early reservations were recommended!

Held even in light rain; however, if rain hitting the boat’s roof makes noise, or in cases of strong wind, the venue will be changed indoors.

Visit Geibi Gorge in Autumn! Access Information
Geibi Gorge is about a 20-minute drive from BELLINO HOTEL ICHINOSEKI.
By train, it’s about 30 minutes from Ichinoseki Station to Geibikei Station on the JR Ofunato Line.
By bus, it’s about 40 minutes from Ichinoseki Station to Geibikeiguchi via Iwate Kenko Bus’s Geibikei Line.

If you come to Ichinoseki, the southernmost part of Iwate, via the Tohoku Shinkansen, rent a car at Ichinoseki Station!
